I specialize in strategic advisory, digital marketing product development during proof-of-concept. I am the Vice President and Co-founder of Better Collective which runs numerous digital enterprises including Bettingexpert.com – Europe’s largest sports betting portal.

Having started Better Collective in 2004, I have seen our company go from strength to strength, growing company head count, increasing revenues and constantly improving our product.

Better Collective services have won the prestigious Børsen Gazelle for digital enterprise in for Danish Commerce, furthermore our business services have been recognised in various digital and industry publications.

Today I oversee all corporate and future strategy for the Better Collective team.

I am a keen technology advocate and advise the Bumble Ventures management team on all investment decisions related to the digital space, including e-commerce, mobile, SaaS and more.

I’m CEO and co-founder of Better Collective. We’re a tech company in the online gaming industry providing communities and knowledge for our users around the world.

Technology and gaming is at the core of Better Collective. But the keys to our success are competent and highly motivated employees. Day after day they bring dedication, knowhow and a substantial amount of humor to our offices.

I take great pride in leading our company towards commercial succes. But even more in building a company culture where work is fun and rewarding for every single employee at Better Collective.

Being part of a start-up has taught me valuable lessons on the pitfalls and opportunities facing new businesses. Based on those experiences I advise the Bumble Ventures management team on how to help portfolio companies put together business plans and navigate their execution in the growth stage.

 
 
Daniel Nyvang Mariussen

Daniel Nyvang Mariussen

I’m in charge of daily operations at Bumble Ventures, including investment screening, case grooming, deal structuring, co-investor solicitation, portfolio company strategy support, board participation and portfolio company reporting.

Prior to joining Bumble I co-founded, crashed and burned a startup of my own. While we failed, the founder experience was incredibly rewarding, and gave me first-hand experience into the awesome but very difficult task of startup foundry.

I’ve taken these experiences with me in my new role at Bumble, where we pride ourselves in intimately understanding the earliest and toughest stages of the journey. In fact, what excites me most is close collaboration with founders in those early stages, and plowing through in a way that positions the start-up optimally for subsequent scale-up investments.

Before that, I served 3.5 years (2010-2013) at PricewaterhouseCooper’s M&A advisory in Copenhagen, and I hold an M.Sc. in Applied Economics & Business Administration from Copenhagen Business School (2010).

We’re serious about our work, and carefully choose the words to describe it. Terms like “deal” or “exit” are forbidden. And while we’re sometimes called investors, that is not our frame of mind. We consider ourselves partners for the long term.
