I’m CEO and co-founder of Better Collective. We’re a tech company in the online gaming industry providing communities and knowledge for our users around the world.

Technology and gaming is at the core of Better Collective. But the keys to our success are competent and highly motivated employees. Day after day they bring dedication, knowhow and a substantial amount of humor to our offices.

I take great pride in leading our company towards commercial succes. But even more in building a company culture where work is fun and rewarding for every single employee at Better Collective.

Being part of a start-up has taught me valuable lessons on the pitfalls and opportunities facing new businesses. Based on those experiences I advise the Bumble Ventures management team on how to help portfolio companies put together business plans and navigate their execution in the growth stage.

I’m in charge of daily operations at Bumble Ventures, including investment screening, case grooming, deal structuring, co-investor solicitation, portfolio company strategy support, board participation and portfolio company reporting.

Prior to joining Bumble I co-founded, crashed and burned a startup of my own. While we failed, the founder experience was incredibly rewarding, and gave me first-hand experience into the awesome but very difficult task of startup foundry.

I’ve taken these experiences with me in my new role at Bumble, where we pride ourselves in intimately understanding the earliest and toughest stages of the journey. In fact, what excites me most is close collaboration with founders in those early stages, and plowing through in a way that positions the start-up optimally for subsequent scale-up investments.

Before that, I served 3.5 years (2010-2013) at PricewaterhouseCooper’s M&A advisory in Copenhagen, and I hold an M.Sc. in Applied Economics & Business Administration from Copenhagen Business School (2010).

Feel free to email me at or connect with me on LinkedIn.

Investment Ethos

We partner early. We’re comfortable with the rough imperfection of a new venture. We help founders from day zero, when the DNA of their businesses first takes shape.

The creative spirits. The underdogs. The resolute. The determined. The outsiders. The defiant. The independent thinkers. The fighters and the true believers. These are the founders with whom we partner. They’re extremely rare. And we’re ecstatic when we find them.

Our style is not for everyone. We push when we see potential. We are direct. Some don’t like our approach. Most who know us do.

Our team mirrors the founders with whom we partner: hungry overachievers with a deep-rooted need to win. We’ve formed or built companies of our own before launching Buble. Each shares the mindset of an entrepreneur, and knows what it means to walk that path.

We value teamwork over showmanship. Our contribution to a company always comes from several of us working together. We’re skittish about the first person singular, and don’t care to see our names in the press.

The team is small. We prefer a few people with diverse strengths focused on a small number of companies, and we are always mindful of lessons learned — some painfully — that are eternal truths.

We’re serious about our work, and carefully choose the words to describe it. Terms like “deal” or “exit” are forbidden. And while we’re sometimes called investors, that is not our frame of mind. We consider ourselves partners for the long term.

We help great people build awesome companies. And we’re nice people.

The wisdom of community.

We do one thing — seed stage. Altogether, our partners have spent over 10 years working side-by-side with founding teams. We’ve seen it all, and we love rolling up our sleeves to help build from day one.

People We Know

Starting a company is lonely, and founders have to make difficult decisions every day with imperfect information. In our experience, the best safety net is the advice and experience of fellow entrepreneurs.

Whenever we get members of our community in a room, magic happens. That’s why our Knowledge Program’s robust events — ranging from cozy dinners to more formalized workshops — are designed to get real, vulnerable conversations started. People leave with new ideas and actions they can apply immediately to keep growing and getting better. You won’t find any stick-on name tags here — we hate them.

Problem-Solving on Demand

Eventually, all founders run into a problem they can’t solve — they haven’t seen it before or don’t know where to start. Over the years, we’ve been fortunate to work with hundreds of people who have defined what success in entrepreneurship looks like.

Today, these people are our Specialists Pool. When you need help, we find you the exact right person to dive in and help work through big one-off challenges. Experts include executives with decades of know-how, all willing to meet over coffee or help as official advisors to put you in the express lane.

Making Hiring That Much Easier

Hiring is the hardest thing founders do, period. And in this crazy talent market it’s getting more grueling. The average founder dedicates 50% of their time to the task. But our talent team is willing to share this heavy load, making intros to the best people we know for critical hires, rewriting job descriptions, walking through compensation strategies, and helping close win-win deals.
